Evil Squirrel’s Nest’s First Annual Contest Of Whatever
All he asks for the challenge is => Actually, it’s quite simple… it merely requires one of my favorite traits in a person… creativity! I want you to create something. It can be in any art form imaginable… a drawing, a painting, a poem, short fiction, a diorama, a shadow puppet play, a feature length movie, ice sculpture…. the only limits to this contest are the boundaries of your imagination!
Here’s my application :
Introduction of the characters :
Unicorn => Name : Almira, Female, natural born unicorn.
Cousin of Rainbow Donkey => Name : Emir, Male, He’s so poor that he couldn’t afford to buy a “Possum” costume. He’s a possum in the story.
Bibi the Marmot => Name : Bibi, Male, He’s a large squirrel living in the mountains of Alps.
Almira is feeling lonely. She’s so beautiful and unique that she could never find her soul-mate. She has her best friend since childhood, Emir the Possum. Emir wants to be very rich. He believes that money would solve all of his problems.
One day when they are walking in the woods a fairy approaches them. Tells the two of them to make one wish only. Emir wants money and Almira wants love, but they have to choose. Almira is golden-hearted so she makes a sacrifice for her wish. They both wish for “richness”.
They thank the fairy and go on a journey. In the woods they run into Bibi, the large squirrel. Bibi tells them that he knows all about the dark forest and can be their guide on the way. But now they have to share the treasure that the fairy has promised. Almira accepts but Emir is a little bit angry.
After days of an exhausting journey, they finally find the treasure in the mountains of Alps. They are all happy. They dance and party all night.
First thing in the morning they will go back to their hometown and start a new life.
In the morning they meet a green-grass cow and he tricks the three of them with his magic and takes all the treasure they have found. Now they have nothing.
They go back home, with nothing in hands.
That night Emir sees a dream. In his dream there are two Swans and they start to speak : “Emir, you have been poor all your life. The reason for this is, that you never appreciated the real treasure that you already have. There is no bigger treasure than LOVE in this world. You can be rich and you can be poor. But Love is eternal.”
When Emir wakes up in the morning, he understands that he wanted to be rich to have the courage to ask Almira to get married. She has been his best friend all his life and he has been in love with her since then. She is uniquely beautiful, he always wanted to provide her an enchanted life that she truly deserves. He accepts his weakness and finds the strength to open up his heart to her.
When he tells Almira all about the story, Almira tells him that, she also has seen the two Swans in her dream. She has been such a big-head all her life that she never has accepted her secret love to Emir. They both love each other and that is the true treasure they have.
Almira starts to cry. This time it is from happiness and the relief from the surrender. Her each tear drop of love becomes golds, pearls and precious stones in this world. Now they are very rich and full of love.
Back in the forest…
Bibi and the green-grass cow are dancing with the fairy. Actually Bibi is the protector of the treasure in the mountains. They have helped Almira and Emir to find the real treasure they already have in their hearts.
The treasure of the mountains is saved. Love is all around…Happily ever after…
